Women’s Skills Development Organization (WSDO) warmly welcomes you.
We are a Fair Trade organization, which has been working since 1975 as a non-profit and income-generating program supporting women that face difficult and significant social and economic hardships—being differently abled, abused, widowed, divorced, single, orphaned or of marginalized castes. These women are provided with free trainings and employment opportunities related to the many different steps of making WSDO’s handwoven and handmade products. All of this is meant to follow WSDO’s vision—to improve the quality of life for all women in Nepal—by empowering women with new skills and capacities to be self-supportive.
We make a wide range of handwoven and handmade products and we are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality products and service.
Message from our Founder and Executive Director
On behalf of the WSDO family, I would like to welcome all of you to our website.
We have been running for more than 40 years, empowering women of Nepal who are challenged in any way. I am very happy and proud of all our sisters who have been able to become independent.
This website is one of our mediums for promoting and informing others about our work and activities. The products that are made at WSDO are regarded as the best handicraft products in Pokhara, and we export 80% of our products to foreign countries. We believe in hardwork and highly regard the skills that all our members bring.
Please love and support us, and feel free to contact us or comment on our social media sites. It will be very much appreciated.
Again, a warm welcome and thank you.
