At Women’s Skills Development Organization, we always ensure we celebrate the talent and achievements of the women who work here. All of the ladies are extremely talented, and we are grateful of the skill and time they give every day. Here are just a few of the recent events we have been involved in that mark great advancements for WSDO.

Best Women Entrepreneur Award

Executive Director of WSDO Mrs Ram Kali Khadka made us proud again. We would like to express huge congratulations to Madam for being awarded as the “Best Women Entrepreneur of Gandaki Province in the year 2019” by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. She was praised for her outstanding contributions towards the development of industry in Nepal. She has, and continues to, help uplift the image of being a women entrepreneur working in industry.2

Weaving, Training and Campaign Against Women Violence

WSDO and Pokhara Ward No. 27 jointly organized a program to formally inaugurate the three months basic weaving training and conduct a campaign to provide legal awareness against women violence, on December 15th. The chief guest of the program was Honorable Manju Devi Gurung, Vice-Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City. Basic Weaving Training in Baralthar for 3 months

WSDO organized the opening ceremony of another three months basic weaving training, bring conducted under EDP, at Baralthar Field Office. 22 participants will be involving in the training at Baralthar Field Office. In the program, certificates were also distributed to 22 trainees from the previous batch at the Baralthar Field Office. The chief guest of the program was Mr. Shree Ram Pokhrel, Ward Chairperson of ward no. 30. Through his speech, he assured to support the women producers in any way possible.

“Pokhreli Navaratna Award 2082″

Heartiest congratulations to our respected Mrs. Ramkali Khadka on being honored with the “Pokhreli Navaratna Award 2082” on the occasion of the 67th Establishment Day of Pokhara Metropolitan City. This prestigious recognition reflects her continuous dedication, leadership, and invaluable contributions to social service, women’s empowerment, and community development. We are truly proud of her inspiring work, which continues to guide and motivate future generations.

  • Mrs. Ramakali Khadka on receiving a Certificate of Appreciation from the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to local production, employment generation, and the promotion of women’s entrepreneurship through hemp-based products. This honor reflects her dedication to preserving and promoting locally available resources while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for communities. Her achievements continue to inspire women entrepreneurs across Nepal.
