Annual General Meeting

Our 21st Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on April 10th, 2018.

On this day, elections for our new board members were held along with an appreciation program for members of the public who have kindly supported our activities in the past year.

28th Annual General Meeting

The 28th Annual General Meeting of the Women’s Skill Development Organization (WSDO) and the 14th Annual General Meeting of the Women’s Skill Development Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited were held on 2081-05-15 at Simon Party Palace in Srijanachowk. Deputy Mayor of Pokhara, Manju Devi Gurung, inaugurated the event by lighting a traditional lamp and emphasized the rights and training related to women’s empowerment organized by Pokhara Municipality. The meeting was led by WSDO’s founder and Executive Director, Ramkali Khadka, along with Chairperson Devi Gurung.

Special guests, including advisors, social workers, and dignitaries, attended the event. Deputy Mayor Gurung also launched a history book highlighting WSDO’s achievements. In celebration of the Haritalika Teej festival, a dar party was organized for members staff, board members, and their families. and more than 350 are attend on it.

During the event, recognition was given to those who made significant contributions. Certificates were awarded to 27 students for their achievements, and five members were honored for their skills in cutting, sewing, and looming. Two staff members received cash prizes, and a scholarship was awarded to the daughter of a staff member. Additional recognition was given in categories such as “Energetic Staff” and “Lifetime Member.” Miss Subhadra Thapa and Dani Maya Thapa, secretaries of WSDO and its cooperative, presented the current and future plans outlined in the 2024-2025 annual report. Treasurers Sita Devi Paudel Thapa and Nanda Shree Gurung delivered the financial report.

The chief executive of WSDO, Ramkali Khadka encouraged women to use their skills to start businesses locally rather than seeking opportunities abroad, and she also called for support from the government, NGOs, and INGOs.

29th Annual General Meeting

Our 29th Annual General Meeting of the Women’s Skill Development Organization (WSDO) and the 15th Annual General Meeting of the Women’s Skill Development Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited were successfully held on 2082-05-06 at Simon Party Palace, Srijanachowk.

In celebration of Haritalika Teej, a Dar party was organized for members, staff, board members, and their families, with more than 350 participants joining the festivities.

During the event, certificates were awarded to 32 students for their achievements, and five members were honored for their outstanding skills in cutting, sewing, and looming.
